The Bible teaches that baptism is an action that follows an individual’s decision to believe and trust in Jesus. After you make this decision, you do not need to be baptized more than once. If you were too young to decide for yourself when you were baptized, there is precedent for being baptized again now that you have personally decided to follow Jesus.
When a child makes their own decision to put their faith in Jesus and commit to follow Him, they are ready to be baptized. For infants and young children who are not yet ready to make this decision, we have Child Dedications––a moment for parents to commit to raising their children in the way of Jesus and the local church. You do not need to be baptized more than once if you decided to believe and trust in Jesus before you got baptized.
